NaNoWriMo 2011

leasspell_daelSo I'm attempting this NaNoWriMo thing again, and will hopefully make a better accounting of myself this time. I always start strong, usually getting 10,000 words in the first couple of days. Then I get complacent. After all, I have such a huge buffer, I can be idle for a few days, right? *wince* So, yeah, determined to be a winner this year! (Or at least share my humiliation publicly if I fail!)
I usually try to use NaNo to make progress on various WIPs sitting on my hard-drive. This year, I'm going to focus on three projects:
"Trinity", a Suikoden series fic (I,II,V).
Years after the end of V, unstable politics force Lymsleia to abdicate and flee to the Island Nations. When her ship sinks en route, she is believed to be dead. Now she must find a place for herself in the real world, far from everything she's ever known. Idle after the end of the Dunan Unification War, Viktor and Flik are thrust into her life when she is pulled into a pirates' scheme they are investigating. All three have been damaged by events beyond their control throughout their lives. Together, they begin the road towards healing. newgameplus was part of this universe (although it stands on its own).
"nobody's heartless", a Kingdom Hearts series fic (KH,CoM,KHII).
When Sora seals Kingdom Hearts and restores the Worlds, Riku and Mickey are sent back to their own worlds. Caught in Naminé's memory destroying web, they forget that there is anyone to search for before they can set out again. Changes rippling throughout time, it takes Naminé an extra year to restore Sora, Donald, and Goofy, but the Worlds and Organization XIII haven't been idle while the Keyblade Master slept.
"Handprint on My Heart", a Kingdom Hearts series fic (KH,CoM,KHII,BbS). Sequel to my fic, "He Who Saw the Deep".
Xemnas' death released Terra's Body to rejoin with his Heart and Soul which had been wandering the Worlds in his armour. Whole once more, he is able to use his Wayfinder to track down Aqua, and together they return to the Land of Departure to wake Ven. A new enemy is stirring, yet our heroes are in a state of disarray before they even learn of the threat. Terra and Aqua are finding out that Ventus isn't the same person who lived with them, because for the first time in their acquaintance, he is whole. Sora has begun to have nightmares that leave him waking up with tears running down his face, but no memory of what was so distressing. Both teams with need to co-operate if they want to prevent another tragedy.
I'm planning to organize my notes and previously written scenes on here to try and keep everything straight. Normally my policy is not to post WIPs until at least one draft is complete to prevent leaving people hanging (as I have with my first WIP... *sobs*). With the caveat that all work posted would be (very rough) draft only, and that there'd be no guarantee of completion, would anyone be interested if I left the entries visible to people on my Access List? Or should I go with my original plan to just leave the entries Private?
