I feel like we got just a glimpse of this world. If only it could have had more episodes. I heard there is a manga too. But I wish there could be a more satisfying ending. After all they've been through, really? It's just not even believable. I'm not sure about investing time in the books when it ends up fairly similar.

In the beginning I was afraid Shion was going to be pushed hard into some sort of feminized gender role. Even after being raised in a controlled environment, he's really strong just underneath the surface. I loved when he first decided to make a serum to save everyone. It felt like a turning point in his character development. As abbreviated as it all is, my favorite bits are when we see Shion's strength and conviction.
